Hi everyone. My name is Corrine and I have been designing since 1995 when I started up an award winning graphic design company in Co. Louth which specialised in menu design. It was during this time that I discovered a passion for handmade papers, stationery, cards and crafts and began designing wedding invitations. In 2005 I sold my business and moved to the US where I continued to work with happy couples to create one-of-a-kind designs. While in the US I began embellishing my designs with various techniques to achieve a uniqueness that is displayed in my work. Happily, I have returned to Ireland with my family and have realised my dream of sharing my passion for design with happy couples on a full time basis.
My studio is in my home in Belturbet, Co. Cavan. I am open by appointment only, but am fairly flexible with my hours. Give me a shout +353 (0)86 067 7737 or email: info@thepapershop.ie. The pic to the right is a picture of myself with Becca, my assistant and Ciara, my daughter.
A bit more about me.
I love living in Ireland. When I say “home” it is Ireland I think of and not California where I’m from. Some people say I’m nuts, but there is no place in the world like Ireland and my happiest years have been here.
Here are some pics of me and my happy family!
To the right is a pic of me husband, Louis.
Here is our daughter, Ciara, with her horse, Chloe. Ciara is absolutely stunning (takes after her mum of course). She is an avid horse lover and has been from the first time we put her on a horse (it was a rocking horse and she was 2!). She started lessons when she was 8 and found her passion in life. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Equine Management in Northern Ireland and has moved to sunny California! We are super proud of her.
Here is a Jasper, our cat. He is part demon and part love cat. He is very well travelled. We got him from an animal rescue in County Louth in 2009 while we were spending a few weeks in Ireland visiting family and we took him back to the US with us (much to my husband’s chagrin who wanted to know “is this because there are no black cats in the US?”- lol). My husband refuses to call him Jasper. He says he needs an Irish name since he is an Irish cat so he calls him Seamus – lol. Jasper spent 6 years with us in the US until he travelled back to Ireland with us in 2015. Born in Ireland, lived in the US, back to Ireland – how many cats can say that?!
Last, but certainly not least, here is Twinkie. She is my very best friend and she comes everywhere with me. She is a truly special dog and I love her to bits. She loves going kayaking with me as you can see! Luckily we have a lake in our back garden so we can play in the water whenever the weather suits. This pic was taken on a float trip in Missouri – a fun pastime in the summers in that part of the US. We are keeping the tradition going in our own lake in Belturbet!
As you can plainly see I am an animal lover. An Siopa Páipéar are proud supporters of The Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
